Goats Of Gili - Our rescue goats
It's not just cats, we love all animals!
Over the years we have met, and helped, all kind of cute creatures brought to us. We've seen rabbits, civets, otters, cows, goats, horses, snakes, bats, a monkey, ducks, chickens and countless of other birds... and cannot even remember what else! So it's no surprise to anyone that on top of cats, we also have a whole group of rescue animals, who don't say meow. We have chickens, ducks and...goats.
So, here we go: meet our GOATS!
We currently have 10 goats in our care and looks like they are here to stay! What a funny group they are!
We found our first goat back in 2024. A sick, miserable little goat, who could not hear anything, and was barely able to see anything either. Poor little goat was covered in thick, gray fungal-like scab. Miraculously, the little goat Vappu survived, healed, and became the boss of our garden.
About a year later we found another goat in pretty much similar condition. We took the goat, named Halla, home, started medical treatment, and soon Halla got better and became Vappu's sidekick.
Two goats were already lot of work so we thought this is it, no space, no time for more.
Fast forward a few months and things escalated to Level Goat Mayhem!
It's a long story, but in the end we received 8 very weak and sick goats in February 2026. They came from a local family, who simply couldn't look after the goats any longer. We are forever grateful they reached out to us for help and in the end gave all their goats to us. Some were so sick and weak we had to carry them. All had severe mange/scabies, were malnourished and dehydrated.
We immediately started medical treatment and gave vitamins, tons of food and water to drink. We were doing everything we could, but were also mentally preparing to possibly losing some of them.
Miraculously, all goats survived! Everyone is still alive, and most are doing great. We currently (April 2026) still have one goat who has trouble with her legs, but she is also improving every day, and hopefully will be back on her feet soon. Couple of the goats look suspiciously fat, and we are pretty sure the ladies have buns in the oven, and there's more goats on the way.
We hope we can set an example on how to look after goats properly, how to keep them healthy and happy. Goats make fantastic, funny and very, very entertaining pets, and we want to show that too.
Our goats, together with our rescue chickens and ducks, are also important environmental warriors: They eat kitchen waste from several restaurants and resorts. We hope their food waste handling services will be recognized as a great way to deal with vegetarian kitchen waste.

100% of the donations go to goats!
Donation money will be spent on food, medicines and other stuff the goats need. We will also pay monthly salary to one person collecting fresh food for the goats every day.
THANK YOU! TERIMA KASIH! KIITOS! BAAAAAA!
